First Time for Everything
I landed in Hawaii today . . . around 7PM local time but it was 10 LONG hours on someone *else’s* plane (ugh). Can’t say it was a bad flight, although we were 2 hours late departing, but arrived only 1 hour late. Lots of space to make up some time on a trip like that . . .
So much of the experience on a flight is related to who is sitting next to you . . . I got lucky. Nice lady named Lisa . . . (reminded me of Paulie’s song “A Beautiful Chinese Girl”) . . . she was great company for 10 hours. Minimum of screaming babies and wild children running up and down the aisles out of control, individual entertainment consoles for each passenger . . . typical airline food but in today’s airline environment, ANY food is bonus. The security thing makes me laugh every time I go through it now . . . thinking how much safer I am that I took my shoes off and saw all those OTHER people’s feet, too. Never been in Hawaii so it’s all new–haven’t seen a thing except the airport, shuttle and inside of the hotel. I’m so tired I can’t even keep my eyes open. I’ll connect with AR tomorrow and we’ll head over to Waikiki.
