First Time for Everything

Filed under: Uncategorized — Rosspilot @ 2:54 am

I landed in Hawaii today . . . around 7PM local time but it was 10 LONG hours on someone *else’s* plane (ugh).  Can’t say it was a bad flight, although we were 2 hours late departing, but arrived only 1 hour late.  Lots of space to make up some time on a trip like that . . .

So much of the experience on a flight is related to who is sitting next to you . . . I got lucky.  Nice lady named Lisa . . . (reminded me of Paulie’s song “A Beautiful Chinese Girl”) . . . she was great company for 10 hours.  Minimum of screaming babies and wild children running up and down the aisles out of control, individual entertainment consoles for each passenger . . . typical airline food but in today’s airline environment, ANY food is bonus.
The security thing makes me laugh every time I go through it now . . . thinking how much safer I am that I took my shoes off and saw all those OTHER people’s feet, too.

Never been in Hawaii so it’s all new–haven’t seen a thing except the airport, shuttle and inside of the hotel. I’m so tired I can’t even keep my eyes open.  I’ll connect with AR tomorrow and we’ll head over to Waikiki.

Shifting Gears

Filed under: Soho — Tags: — Rosspilot @ 2:02 pm

Today I decided to shift gears and start introducing some of the characters and events associated with that part of my life called “Soho”.

I never dreamed it would become what it did. It began with a phone message left on my voicemail from “George”.

He would become what Paula and I call “my Guardian Angel”.

Welcome

I hope you enjoy your visit here . . . like all blogs, it is a work in progress that probably will never be complete.

So far, I have only posted pictures and notes about the part of my life spent playing music.  I sure love doing that . . . and had a lot of great adventures along the way.  Met some memorable characters, and gained a lot of experience and confidence.

 Mostly photographs so far . . .
